We are seeking an experienced IT Program and Portfolio Manager to join our healthcare team on-site in Atlanta, GA. This role involves overseeing a portfolio of IT projects within the healthcare sector, ensuring they are accurately maintained and delivered on time. Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 8 years of IT Project Leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a PMO role
  • Experience managing large-scale programs and projects across the full project lifecycle
  • Previous experience with business transformations and transitions
  • Proven experience mentoring Project Managers
  • Experience in a large healthcare organization and ability to build effective relationships
  • Preferred certifications: Prince, MSP, or PMP
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure accurate project information
  • Oversee project delivery and manage effective governance
  • Monitor and manage project statuses and documentation
  • Ensure project managers maintain accurate project information
  • Increase adoption of PMO processes and tools
  • Identify dependencies, risks, and escalations at the Portfolio level
  • Support project requests through PMO Portfolio phase processes
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training for PMO processes
  • Approve portfolio and project statuses, dashboards, and reports
  • Provide input on process development for portfolio or project management
  • Ensure adherence to PMO practices, procedures, and policies
  • Lead and facilitate training for new PMs on PMO processes and tools
  • Manage individual programs and lead project teams to achieve goals
  • Collaborate with IS leaders to define project parameters
  • Conduct project reviews and assessments
  • Prepare executive summaries for IS leadership
  • Collect and analyze materials to support decision-making
  • Partner with IS Directors and Managers on IT budget planning
  • Provide thought leadership in planning and budget management
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Quality, Regulatory, and Finance standards
